Count the characters in your text, with an optional whitespace toggle.

Input and limitations

Any text. Choose whether to include whitespace in the count.

Check the selected options before using the result. Formatting and conversion do not establish that data is safe or suitable for your application.

How to use Character Counter

1. Type or paste your text.
2. The count updates automatically.
3. Toggle Include whitespace to include or exclude spaces.
4. Click Clear to empty the text and set the count to 0; Include whitespace stays selected.

Example

Hello contains five characters. Use the whitespace option when comparing text containing spaces.
