Nginx Reverse Proxy Config Generator
Scope, input limits and safety
Illustrative server block only; no Nginx execution, nginx -t validation, certificate issuance, server changes or deployment. Review routing, trust, DNS and security policy for your environment before use. TLS emits deliberately non-operational certificate/key paths; no actual TLS material is accepted or generated. WebSocket uses a dedicated upgrade location; TLS and WebSocket are separate bounded templates, not arbitrary directive editing.
ASCII DNS-style hosts only (including localhost, IPv4-style labels and punycode). No wildcard, IPv6, raw Unicode host, trailing dot, upstream path/slash, credentials, query, fragment, whitespace, newline or directive syntax. Ports use decimal digits 1–65535. HTTPS upstream sets SNI; environment-specific upstream trust verification is not configured by this template. No input URL is fetched.
Each input is bounded to 512 UTF-16 characters. Native edits clip at 514 before ordinary Blazor transport; every edit over 512 clears all inputs and stale output and blocks Generate until a valid edit or Clear. No clipped prefix is accepted. Inputs and generated text are not automatically stored. Interactive Auto may send events over the server Blazor connection; WebAssembly executes on device. Website only; extension and Android remain inactive and unqualified.
Nginx Reverse Proxy Config Generator guide
Generate an illustrative reverse-proxy server block without contacting a server.
Input and limitations
ASCII domain, http(s)://host[:port] upstream and listen port 1–65535. Each field: maximum 512 UTF-16 characters.
Check the selected options before using the result. Formatting and conversion do not establish that data is safe or suitable for your application.
How to use Nginx Reverse Proxy Config Generator
- Enter domain, upstream and listen port; select HTTP, WebSocket or TLS.
- Select Generate config, review the literal output, then Copy.
- TLS paths are placeholders, not certificates or operational TLS configuration.
- Clear removes all inputs, result and error; template stays selected.
Example
Domain example.com, upstream http://localhost:3000 and listen port 8080 generate a server block with proxy_pass http://localhost:3000;. TLS emits placeholder paths only; no server is contacted.
Privacy on the website
The website uses Blazor Auto: interactive processing can run on the server or in your browser, depending on the current session. Do not assume pasted input stays on your device. Use non-sensitive sample data, and never place passwords, tokens or personal data in page URLs.
Search indexing covers public tool descriptions, not your input or generated output. See the privacy policy for website analytics and other data handling.
