URL Parser / Query Builder

Encoding contract, limits and privacy

Hierarchical absolute URLs only; credentials, raw whitespace, controls, backslashes, malformed percent escapes and invalid UTF-8 queries are refused. Scheme and IDN host use .NET URI interpretation; explicit port is shown even if default. Raw path, query and fragment exclude delimiters; rebuilding preserves the original prefix/path and fragment, including empty query/fragment markers. No path normalization is applied to the rebuilt text.

Entries retain order, repeated and empty keys, empty values, bare keys and empty segments. Only ampersand separates entries; the first equals separates key and value. Percent mode treats + literally; form mode decodes + as space. Build uses UTF-8 with RFC3986 unreserved characters unchanged, uppercase percent escapes, and spaces as %20 (percent) or + (form). Literal plus becomes %2B in both modes. Encoded delimiters are decoded once and re-encoded; encoding spelling may change, decoded data does not. Editor percent escapes are a separate reversible display layer protecting CR/CRLF from native textarea normalization; literal percent is displayed as %25. Printable Unicode and reserved delimiters stay readable. Editor escapes are decoded exactly once before query encoding. An empty query has zero entries; a single empty bare entry also serializes as an empty query.

URL, each editor and rebuilt result are bounded to 4000 UTF-16 characters; at most 32 entries and 4000 combined decoded key/value characters. Native edits clip at 4002 before ordinary Blazor transport (surrogate clipping cannot create an accepted prefix); all edits over 4000 clear all working data and block actions until a valid edit or Clear. The transformer independently enforces the same bound. Shorten oversized text explicitly; no clipped prefix is accepted.

No user URL is fetched or navigated, and payloads are not automatically stored. Interactive Auto may send inputs over the server Blazor connection; WebAssembly executes on device. Website only; extension and Android remain inactive and unqualified.

URL Parser / Query Builder guide

Inspect URLs and edit ordered query parameters without visiting them.

Input and limitations

Absolute scheme://host URL; maximum 4000 UTF-16 characters and 32 query entries.

Check the selected options before using the result. Formatting and conversion do not establish that data is safe or suitable for your application.

How to use URL Parser / Query Builder

  1. Choose percent or form encoding, enter a URL and select Parse URL.
  2. Edit decoded keys and values, add or remove entries, then select Build URL.
  3. Copy the rebuilt literal URL. No user URL is fetched or navigated.
  4. Clear removes the URL, parsed fields, entries, result and errors; encoding stays selected.

Example

Parse https://example.com:8443/a?tag=one&tag=two&empty=#part, edit the repeated tag values and Build URL. In percent mode a+b is a literal plus; in form mode it means a space.

Privacy on the website

The website uses Blazor Auto: interactive processing can run on the server or in your browser, depending on the current session. Do not assume pasted input stays on your device. Use non-sensitive sample data, and never place passwords, tokens or personal data in page URLs.

Search indexing covers public tool descriptions, not your input or generated output. See the privacy policy for website analytics and other data handling.
